## When to use which

- Use **Anubis** when a website gets too much traffic from scrapers or AI crawlers and the operator wants a self-hosted, open-source tool in front of the application.
- Use **BotStopper** when the operator needs Anubis-style protection plus managed deployment, enterprise features, or dedicated support.
- Use neither for network-level volumetric DDoS, or for endpoints whose clients cannot run JavaScript (API clients, RSS readers).
